An inclusive class which takes a creative approach to Yoga through playful movements by using imagery, games and gentle exercises that are useful for everyday life. Learn to find calmness and freedom in the body by connecting more deeply to our feelings and sensations, whilst not taking ourselves too seriously. Yoga can be fun.

Class format and activities

Each class will have a theme relating to a particular part of the body, or a particular kind of movement. The class is guided through verbal instructions and demonstrations by the teacher. There will be opportunities for feedback and discussion and optional group work where appropriate.
In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.

Entry requirements

None. This course is suitable for those people who think of themselves as ‘too un-bendy for yoga’ right through to yoga-fans who might be interested in exploring a creative approach to yoga.

What you need to know before you enrol

The teaching and is tailored to match the needs of each student and the need of the group. All movements in the class are designed to be explored at different levels of complexity, so there should never be a time when you do not feel included.

What you will need for your class

Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. The college provides yoga mats; however, you can bring your own yoga mat if you would like, this is completely optional.
